Egle Acaite’s NBA hubby Jonas Valanciunas was born in Utena, Lithuania on May 6, 1992, the 7’0″ player started his career with the Lithuanian basketball team Vilnius Perlas in 2008 that same year he made his debut with Lithuania Under-16 team for the 2008 FIBA Europe Under 16 Championship in Italy, two years later he joined Vilnius Lietuvos Rytas and a year after that he joined Lithuania’s senior team.

Valanciunas was the 5th overall pick in the first round of the 2011 NBA Draft selected by The Toronto Raptors, with whom he made his debut on July 18, 2012 against the Indiana Pacers. He was named the 2013 MVP of the Las Vegas Summer League and signed a four-year, $64 million contract extension with Toronto on August 20, 2015.

Jonas Valanciunas’ wife Egle Acaite aka Egle Valanciunas, 24, is one of two children born to Lithuanian lawyer and politician Remigijus Acas and his wife Vida also proud parents of their Egle’s brother Vaikas Irmantas Ačas.

Egle and Jonas met in 2013, they dated less than a year before they got married in 2014 and spend their honeymoon in the Maldives. Egle gave birth to their son Jonas on Thursday, March 12, 2014.
