Cookie Johnson

Cookie Johnson is the proud and supportive wife of NBA legend Magic Johnson, the two have been together for decades and together share two children.

Her husband’s career has been widely covered over the years, born August 14, 1959; the Michigan native spent his entire 13-year career with the Los Angeles Lakers. He was named to 12 NBA All-Star games and led the league in assists four times. His performance in the 1992 All-Star game earned him the game’s MVP Award.

He is equally known for his courage in speaking out about his 1991 HIV diagnose. Cookie’s husband stablished a new platform in which he kept relevant in speaking about safe sex. The HIV activist has also transitioned between, philanthropy, a career in broadcast and is also regarded as a motivational speaker.

However, there’s no way he couldn’t have done it without the love and support of Cookie Johnson. Meet her below.

#1 The Alabama native was born Earlitha on January 20, 1959 –was nicknamed Cookie by her mother who chose the name based on the character from the show 77 Sunset Strip.

#2 The former NBA wag, married Magic Johnson two months before he made the announcement. It was also clarified that she and their unborn child did not contracted the deadly disease.

#3 She is an entrepreneur. Cookie Johnson developed a line of jeans called CJ by Cookie Johnson which stayed in business for several years.

#4 Mrs. Johnson wrote a memoir called, believing in Magic –where she detailed the moment her husband broke his HIV diagnose to her, giving her the chance to leave him. Cookie revealed she replied:  ‘Are you kidding me? No. I love you. I’m gonna stay here and help you live. I’m gonna stay here and we’re gonna beat this thing. We’re gonna figure out how to beat this thing,'”

#5 She is also a proud mom. She and Magic have a son named Earvin III who goes by E.J., and is gay. They adopted daughter, Elisa in 1995. She is also the stepmom to Andre Johnson –born from her husband’s previous relationship to Melissa Mitchell.

Brynn Cameron

It seems that Brynn Cameron has an eye and a womb for hot athletes and giving birth to their babies because she is not just the baby mama of former NFL player Matt Leinart, but she is also the baby mama of NBA player Blake Griffin.

We all remember Brynn and Matt’s ugly child custody battle over their son, Cole Cameron Leinart, now age 10; those days are over, they settled on an agreement and now Matt sees Cole on a regular basis.

It seems that little Cole became a big brother because mommy Brynn gave birth to her second son, Ford Wilson Cameron-Griffin and yes, according to his birth certificate Blake Griffin is the father.

Blake and Brynn welcomed their second child together, daughter Finely born in September 2016. For a moment there it looks like Griffin was ready to settle down; as he and Brynn became engaged and planned to tie the knot on July 28, 2017, in St. Barts. Somehow the wedding was postponed after Brynn refused to sign the prenup, that contradicted their prior oral agreement.

Brynn claimed Blake refused to provide promised financial support to Cameron, pursuant to their oral agreement that she would give up her career goals and aspirations to raise their children and support’s Griffn’s career; and that he abandoned her and their children to pursue a relationship with Kendall Jenner.

Here is what we can tell you about Blake Griffin’s baby mama Brynn Cameron.

Brynn Elaine Cameron on July 8, 1986, in Van Nuys, California; the daughter of Cathy and Stan Cameron, who are also the proud parents of her siblings;  Emily and brothers Colby and Jordan, the latter tight end for the Dolphins and the Browns.

Brynn was born with basketball genes;  Jack Cravens her grandfather and her personal hero was a star baseball and basketball player at BYU.

Brynn Cameron was a junior at USC on October 24, 2006; when she gave birth to her eldest son Cole Cameron Leinart who was born at 9:33 p.m. in California. His younger brother Ford Wilson Cameron Griffin was born on August 1st, 2013, sister Finely in September 2016.

Jewel Harris

Jewel Harris is the lovely wife of NBA shooting guard, JR Smith who currently plays for the Cleveland Cavaliers. Jewel’s man is described as one of the NBA’s better shooting guards, he has been on the playoffs in eight of his 12 seasons and participated in two Slam Dunk Contests.

Her hubby was born Earl Joseph Smith III on September 9, 1985 in Freehold Borough, NJ; and is commonly known as J.R. Smith. He is the son of Ida Smith and Earl Smith. J.R. Smith is one ofe six children, his five siblings include three brothers and two sisters.

He played in the McDonald’s All-American Game in 2004 after a solid career at Saint Benedict’s Preparatory School in Newark, New Jersey. He was selected 18th overall by the New Orleans Hornets in the 2004 NBA Draft.

After two years with the Hornets, Smith was traded to the Denver Nuggets in 2006. Smith spent five years in Denver with head coach George Karl.

During the 2011-12 NBA lockout, he played for the Zhejiang Golden Bulls in the Chinese Basketball Association. He helped the Golden Bulls make the playoffs. After the team was eliminated, he eventually signed with the Knicks in February 2012.

On January 5th, 2015, Smith and Shumpert were traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers in a three-team trade that also involved the Oklahoma City Thunder.

While playing for the Nicks he was named a two time NBA’s Sixth Man of the Year in 2012 and in 2015, he helped lead the Cleveland Cavaliers to the NBA Finals.

 Despite being a solid player, Jewel’s hubby hasn’t escaped without some drama on and off the court. Back in 2006 he was suspended to play 10 games because of his involvement in Knicks-Nuggets Brawl.

Smith was suspended seven games in the 2009-10 NBA season due to a guilty plea from a 2007 reckless driving incident. He has amassed several speeding tickets and driving violations over the years.

He was also suspended for Game 4 vs. the Boston Celtics in the 2013 NBA playoffs and two games in this year’s playoffs for throwing a punch at Boston Celtics’ Jae Crowder.

Now, not much is known about the player’s wife. The  6 ft 6 in tattooed Smith has been previously linked to dating Rihanna and Solange Knowles in the past, but the rumors were never confirmed. Right before proposing to Jewel he was said to have been in a two year relationship with Ashley Weatherspoon.

It is not known since when Jewel and Smith have actually been together but we assumed it’s been several on and off years since the couple share a 7-year-old daughter together.

Jewel Harris and Smith eloped in August last year after getting engaged in one of the most adorable ways ever! Smith is assisted by the couple’s daughter, Demi Smith, in requesting her mother’s hand in marriage by whipping out the ring box.

“Mommy, will you marry us?” she asks.

The couple surprised many to say the least, however they are now Mr. and Mrs. Smith and Jewel Harris became a stepmom to her hubby’s other daughter, Payton Smith.

Her father Kenneth, a motivational speaker and owner-operator of Socrates Group, West Orange was, in addition, the founder of Automotive Telemarketing Inc. He was 52, when he passed away on August 16, 2005,  after a battle with kidney cancer.

Pretty Kendra Koetter is one of the children born to Kim and Dirk Koetter; she was born Kendra Reece Koetter on November 12, 1996, in Eugene, Oregon.

Her sister Kaylee was a setter at the University of Tampa from where she graduated with a bachelor of science in marketing and where she is nowadays an assistant coach for the volleyball team.

In addition to Kayley, Kendra has two brothers; Brothers Davis and Derek, a quarterback at Portland State and digital/Social Media Intern with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, respectively.

Crystal Oats

Crystal Oats is the loving and supportive wife of college basketball coach, Nate Oats’ –currently the head coach at the State University of New York at Buffalo.

Crystal’s hubby has been a huge factor to the Bulls success, the 43-year-old is on his third season as head coach of the UB men’s basketball program after completing the best season in a school history by a first-year coach during his first year in 2015-16 where Oats led the Bulls to a 20-win season and their second straight trip to the NCAA Tournament.

Born on October 13, 1974; as Nathanael J. Oats, the Wisconsin native attended Maranatha Baptist University –where he was a captain and All-Conference performer. He graduated with a degree in Math Education. It was at Maranatha where he also began his coaching career as an assistant coach in the late 90’s. He then took the same job at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater from 2000-02.

According to this official bio on the Bulls website, prior to joining the team, Oats completed 11 seasons as head coach at Romulus High School in Michigan.

Nate and his lovely wife Crystal have been married since 1997. The two met while attending Maranatha. Since their nuptials, they have expanded the family. Together they are the proud parents to three adorable girls. Crystal Oats is the proud mother of 14-year-old Lexie, 9-year-old Jocie and 6-year-old Brielle.

Crystal Oats has been as supportive as they come. Since the couple met, they dreamt of the day her husband would be named head coach but when it finally happened back in 2015 she was too sick to even attend a game. Crystal whose regular seat is behind the bench, was diagnosed with double hit lymphoma just weeks before her husband’s first game as a Division I head coach.

The coach’s wife and mom of three got six rounds of chemo and received a bone marrow transplant and has no sign of cancer coming back.

She graduated in 2016, from Mountain Lakes High School, so far she hasn’t decided about her major in the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences. When she is not playing lacrosse and cheering on Mikal and the rest of the Wildcats, Ms. Roseti is a customer service representative at LuMee, LLC.

Lucia Odom

Lucia Odom is the loving and supportive wife of college basketball coach, Ryan Odom –her hubby is the current head coach of the UMBC Retrievers men’s basketball team.

Lucia’s basketball coach husband has put his team on the map following a surprise victory in the NCAA Tournament. The North Carolina native has it in his blood, he is the son of former head coach, Dave Odom. Ryan was born July 11, 1974; he was a ballboy for UVA when he was a kid.

Odom graduated from Hampden-Sydney in 1996 where he was a four-year starter on the men’s basketball team.

He began his career as a graduate assistant at South Florida and was an assistant coach at Furman, UNC Asheville, and American before spending seven years at Virginia Tech. He then joined the Charlotte coaching staff in 2010, working as an assistant for five years, before being named interim head coach on January 6, 2015.  Odom was named the ninth men’s basketball coach in UMBC history in April 2016 and led the Retrievers to the program’s first winning since 2007-08 that season.

Last year, he was the recipient of the 2017 Joe B. Hall Award. Throughout his journey, wife Lucia Odom has been right by his side.

Lucia is a loyal supporter of her husband’s career since day one. In addition, she is the proud mother of the couple’s two sons, 10-year-old Owen and 15-year-old Connor. The couple’s oldest son Connor was diagnosed with OCD. The family has been very open about their son’s disease.

The wife and mom of two is a clothing boutique owner, she keeps busy flying the country for trade shows. According to her LinkedIn page, the blonde is the owner of ‘Monkee’s of the Pines.” She attended Appalachian State University from 1992 until 1997.

Prior to becoming Mrs. Odom, she was known as Lucia Anne Depasquale, born August 20, 1974. She is one of four daughters born to Dublin native, Roisin O’Rahilly and Adrian Pasquale, former U.S. Army Veteran, Little River farm owner and a former basketball player at North Carolina State. Her dad was 78, when he died on December 12, 2016, in Southern Pines.

Lucia’s sisters are Maria McBrayer, Gina, and Christina.

Meet Cindy Self; without a doubt a beautiful and impressive lady, but first and foremost, she is a mother and the lovely wife of College Basketball Coach, Bill Self, head coach for the Kansas Jayhawks.

Her hubby is an Edmond, Oklahoma native. He played basketball at Oklahoma State where he was a four-year letter winner from 1982 to 1985.  He received his bachelor’s degree in business in 1985; subsequently, received his master’s degree in athletic administration in 1989, both from OSU.

Self spent the 1985-86 season on Larry Brown’s coaching staff at Kansas. He started his head coaching career at Oral Roberts, where he resurrected the program.

He came to KU from the University of Illinois. Prior to that, he coached at Tulsa from 1998 to 2000. In his inaugural season at Kansas – 2003-04 – Self guided the Jayhawks to 24 wins and the NCAA Tournament Elite Eight.

Cindy Kelly Self attended Yukon High School, graduating in 1982; and is a 1986 Oklahoma State University graduate. She is originally from Oklahoma City and is a resident of Lawrence, Kansas. She became Cindy Self in 1988.

Moreover, Cindy is the mother of the couple’s two children: daughter, Lauren, and son, Tyler. Their daughter, Lauren Self is a 2013 KU graduate; she tied the knot to her longtime beau  Hayden Browning on August 16, 2014. She currently resided in Richardson, Texas.

Finally,  their son Tyler is a Basketball guard at the KU team.

Cindy Self and her hubby, established the Assists Foundation in 2006 to help provide young people access to better lives; identifying areas of need and working with other community-based institutions to provide creative and lasting solutions.

Destinee Jordan

This lovely and beautiful lady is Destinee Jordan; wife of basketball coach LaVall Jordan; current head coach for the Butler Bulldogs at  Butler University in Indianapolis. Coach Jordan also coached at Milwaukee prior to rejoining Butler in 2017.

Destinee’s husband played college basketball at Butler and Huntsville Flight before his coaching career hit it off in 2003 as an assistant at Butler. In 2007, joined the Iowa Hawkeyes as an assistant; subsequently in 2010, signed with the Michigan Wolverines and became the head coach for the Milwaukee Panthers in 2016.

Butler announced, they hired Coach Jordan to replace Chris Holtmann on June 12, 2017.

Mrs. Jordan formerly known as Destinee Denise Overstreet was born 0n January 13, 1980, in Indiana. She attended North Central High School and Indiana University. While in high school Destinee was not only a member of the gymnastics team but also the team captain.

She and LaVall met through a mutual friend, he was getting ready to play in Norway, but that didn’t stop them, and by June 2004 they tied the knot.

Today, they have three beautiful daughters  Ava, Alanna, and Adalynn.

Mary Ethredge Kennedy’s hubby Billy Kennedy a Louisiana native attended Holy Cross High School in New Orleans; subsequently,  graduated from Southeastern Louisiana. After college, worked on various assistant coach positions, first at Centenary, secondly in New Orleans, Southeastern Louisiana, Wyoming, Northeastern State, Tulane, Texas A&M, Creighton, California, and Miami.

His first head coaching gig was at Centenary in 1997, then at Southeastern Louisiana in 1999, Murray State in 2006 and since 2011 has been the man in charge of the Aggies at Texas A&M.

Coach Billy Kennedy’s wife is the lovely Mary Kennedy; formerly known as Mary Ethredge, the mother of his four amazing children Will, Lexie, Brooks and Anna Cate.

Mary, 49, was born Mary Catherine Ethredge in October 1966. Mary graduated from Junction City High School in Junction City, Arkansas and in 1987 from Louisiana Tech University. Her husband was diagnosed with Parkinson Disease in October 2011.

Sharon Drew

It’s our pleasure to introduce you to Mrs. Sharon Drew; the beautiful wife of basketball coach Larry Drew, currently he serves as the Associate head coach for the Cleveland Cavaliers. In March 2018, he became the interim coach for  Cavs’ coach Tyronn Lue; who announced he was stepping back to deal with a persistent health issue.

Therefore, it’s time to meet the amazing wag in the Cavs squad, but not before giving a quick tour to Coach Drew’s career.

He started his coaching career with the Lakers in  1992; in 1999, he joined the Pistons and the Wizards in 2000; subsequently signed with the Nets and the Atlanta Hawks in 2004. Drew also coached the Milwaukee Bucks from 2013, finally in 2014 joined the Cavaliers.

Prior to coaching, Larry Drew a point guard at the University of Missouri and the  17th overall selection drafted by the Detroit Pistons in the 1980 NBA Draft, also played with Sacramento and the Clippers. He played overseas in 1988 when he joined the Italian team’s the Scavolini Pesaro, before returning to the U.S. where he finished his professional career with the Lois Angeles Lakers in 1991.

Having said that, let us tell you that Mrs. Drew, formerly known as Sharon Yvette Curry was born on July 22, 1962.

They tied the knot on July 14, 1986; together they have three handsome and incredible sons; Larry, Landon, and Lindsey.

Larry II played at the University of North Carolina and UCLA, he is nowadays a point guard for the New Orleans Pelicans; Landon born on March 9, 1994, is a guard at Cal State Northridge.

6’4″ Lindsey born on May 5, 1997, is a sophomore at the University of Nevada, where he is also a member of the Nevada Wolf Pack’s basketball team.

Sharon a former cheerleader at the University of Washington, describes her pretty self as a wife, Mom, Manager, tutor/teacher, nurse, psychiatrist, family mascot, cheerleader, a homemaker and we 100% love her!

Megan Weber

This is Megan Weber; she is the amazing wife of basketball for the Kansas State Wildcats at Kansas State University. He also coached at Illinois and Southern Illinois. He started his career as a graduate assistant at Western Kentucky, subsequently joined Purdue’s coaching staff as an assistant under Gene Keady.

So what about Mrs. Weber? The first thing that we think you should know about coach’s wife is that Megan was born Margaret Elizabeth Goesch on August 19, 1956.

Megan is one of the children born to June and Charles Goesch, both of her parents passed away in December 1999 and January 1996, respectively.

Megan and Bruce Weber have three daughters together; Hannah, born in 1986; Christine born in 1987, and Emily Ann, born in  1992.

Both Hannah and Christine are now married; Christy an agency trainer at Country Financial, now known as Christy Swift is happily married Trenton, a financial rep at Country Financial & the father of her adorable son; Hannah a Purdue graduate and a pharmacist at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, she and her husband Taylor Pope are expecting their first child in May 2018.

Their youngest Emily Weber; was a student and a cheerleader at Southern Illinois University, from where she graduated in 2014, with a Bachelor of Applied Science. Nowadays, Emily lives in Dallas, where she is an account exec at The Marketing Arm

Paula Brownell

Paula Brownell is the pretty wife of coach Brad Brownell; her husband is the current head coach for the Clemson Tigers at Clemson University in South Carolina. Prior to joining Clemson in 2010, he coached at Wright State and UNC Wilmington.

He played college basketball at DePauw, before getting an assistant job at Evansville in 1991, and subsequently, at Indianapolis in 1992.

Ready to meet Mrs. Brownell

Paula was born Paula Ann Dingmann on June 26, 1969, in Indiana; she and coach Brownell met and web around the time he transferred to DePauw University. Today, they have two daughters; Clemson student Abby and Kate, a junior in high school.
